Siesta Key Beach has been voted #1 in the United States and is consistently at the top as being one of the best beaches in the U.S. due to its fine, white sand and clear, clean waters of the Gulf of Mexico. However, it is not only for sunbathing and swimming, there are always events going on that add to its value. On Sundays, you will find the Siesta Key Farmer’s Market with fresh produce, plants, artisans, and food. Numerous festivals are held including our Siesta Fiesta, Siesta Key Crystal Classic Sand Sculpting Competition, and the Seafood and Music Festival just to name a few. If fitness is your thing, you can participate in a Run For the Turtles or Sandy Claws 5k Race and 1-Mile Fun Run held directly on the public beach. You can also catch a free family movie starting at sunset on the beach during the Moonlight Movie on Siesta Beach. Don’t forget every Sunday, one hour before sunset, you can catch the Siesta Key Drum Circle, a local phenomenon that began spontaneously and now has a life of its own. Just follow your ears!
